About

I have been a fine artist for over twenty years with installation, illustration and gallery experience. I have worked extensively with paper cuts and collage, pen and ink drawing, and painting. In 2005 I began to make digital collages from work that originated as linocut prints, drawings, painting and photography. My work focusses primarily on the Canadian North and on the images of home and city life that are a constant source of beauty and struggle for me.

Interwoven with my art practice has been a ten year career as a massage therapist and, more recently, a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Toronto. My family life includes raising two boys, tending to a small menagerie, and patching up a collapsing house in downtown Toronto. Drawing on a rich background in planning, art and design, and alternative health, I bring a unique perspective to working toward better, more equitable and more beautiful cities.
